Costa Rica
From August 18th to 25th, 2024, FishBait sent a dedicated team of seven volunteers to San José, Costa Rica, on a life-changing mission trip. Representing five different U.S. states, these individuals united with a common purpose: to serve and to share the love of Christ through compassionate care.
Over the course of the week, the team provided essential services at four different clinics. The offerings included Medical, Dental, Chiropractic/Massage, Vision, and Pharmacy support. Each clinic visit wasn’t just about physical wellness—it was also an opportunity to share the Gospel with every patient.
In total, 408 people were served through the various clinics, and 124 responded positively to the Gospel message. This powerful combination of physical healing and spiritual encouragement left a lasting impact on the communities they served—and on the hearts of the volunteers who gave their time, talents, and treasure.
FishBait is proud to continue its mission of outreach and service, bringing hope and healing to those in need around the world.

Country visited: Costa Rico
Testimony: Costa Rica has left a huge impact on my heart - I cannot forget the beautiful experiences I’ve had there. I watched God work regardless of difficult circumstances when two of our clinics were shut down. I watched our team witness to people who desperately needed to hear the gospel. I saw the deep need for Jesus, and I saw that need filled. These people are so hungry for Jesus yet so giving, so thankful, and I love the culture and the people. Thanking God for His movement in my life because of this trip!

Testimony: While in Costa Rica for the second time, I was deeply moved. We asked God to be with us, we gave Him permission to interrupt our plans of He so chose, because we wanted to serve Him. While there, He was clearly with us, and also clearly interrupted our plans, while making His plans clear, redirecting where a He saw fit. I don’t think it is possible to see Gods so clearly move, bring unity to our team, most of which we had not known previously, and break walls down and move among everyone to save lives, and bring us deeper into communion worth Him, as it is in the mission field. 30% of everyone we saw made a positive response to the gospel- what could possibly be more important of a call on your life?
